I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The first thing that impressed me was the value for money - it was a great bargain! The prices were very reasonable for the location, especially considering how close it was to The Bund. Speaking of location, it was fantastic! I could easily walk to the metro and all the major sights in the area. The staff were also very friendly and professional, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.
All aspects of my stay were absolutely fine.

The location is excellent.
There were no windows in the room, even though it was not mentioned in the description of the room in the website.

Excellent location, 1930s Shanghai Style.
Shower room was built-in afterwards, was similar to the bathrooms in the cruise ships cabin.

Excellent location and English-speaking front desk, nice bar and good breakfast.
Rooms are small, and walls are thin so you can hear your neigbours and people in the halls

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. the value for money is unbeatable, offering affordable rates without compromising on quality. Secondly, the location is ideal, right in the Bund area, with easy access to all the major attractions. And thirdly, the staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-designed with attention to detail, including comfortable beds and modern amenities like a big plasma TV. Plus, the breakfast options cater to all dietary preferences, including a tasty vegan selection.
No improvement needed - everything was satisfactory.

The location is good for the Shanghai marathon.
Filthy! Do not go there. The first room that they took me two had a substantial amount of wallpaper peeling off of the wall. The second room was tiny. I told them that this was below the level of my room because it didn't have a window. the pointed to a tiny square window in the corner of the room and said there is the window, you just can't open it. I tried to get an upgrade and that was also filthy. The carpets were stained and all of the carpets in the corridors also looked like they had never been cleaned or seen a hoover. They are cheating people on the rooms. I paid for the 4th best room over the internet. There were only supposed to be 2 levels of rooms better than mine, but i saw three. What they are doing is overcharging for room.

Location.
Not good at all. We booked for 3 nights but left after one day because we felt it was very dirty and uncomfortable. There was no windows in the rooms and they smell of smoke. We were fooled by the cheap price.
